WHERE WE BEGIN

philanthrōpía

GREEK · "PHILANTHROPY”

In its Greek origins, philanthropy means "Love of humanity."

Its ethos reflects a belief in the dignity, interdependence, and sacredness of all.

THE ROOT

For people and planet to flourish, we must tend to the root.

  1. The meta-challenge is Fear

Beneath today’s overlapping crises lies a rupture in how we value and relate to human and more-than-human beings: a worldview that has forgotten our wholeness, and sits in Fear. Without transforming this worldview, polarization, isolation, and dehumanization will continue to distort our choices and systems.

  2. The meta-solution is Love

Not simply as a feeling or sentiment, but Love as intention and action. When we orient ourselves through a sacred worldview, and act through Love, our choices change. When our choices change, our systems transform.

  3. A new philanthropic collaborative

Spiritual solutions that tend to this root remain significantly underfunded. There is not yet a collaborative fund to uplift community-led, spiritual solutions that animate Love. We are changing that.

About us

WHAT WE DO

We invest in Love by uplifting spiritual solutions for the flourishing of people and planet.

Grantmaking

Storytelling

A national online home for stories, curated resources, a directory of people and organizations doing aligned work, and more.

Convening

Communities of practice, gatherings, conferences, and festivals where all knowledges meet.

In our pre-incorporation phase, we are emerging as a national, public foundation to nurture philanthropy as its original instruction—love of humanity—with a seven-centuries horizon.

OUR POSITION PAPER · OCTOBER 2026

Love, Systems, Philanthropy

What we heard from more than 200 people across Turtle Island (Canada), communing with Nature, and attending national and global gatherings to explore how a sacred worldview and Love can be nurtured into fuller expression within philanthropy.

Includes: rationale and evidence for spiritual solutions, why Canada’s ready, methods, findings, a model for investing in Love, local and national organizations who do Love-based work, and recommendations for embedding Love into the philanthropic sector. Offered not as prescription, but in the spirit of co-learning and a desire to build a foundation for future work with others.
